You edited out my comments on the passage, Neo, which was the entire point of the comment. If you had read through the passage, your edits would have been more accurate. I'll make a better edit off my own comment.

42 Jonathan said to David, “Go in peace, for we have sworn friendship with each other in the name of the Lord, saying, ‘The Lord is witness between you and me, and between your descendants and my descendants forever.’” Then David left, and Jonathan went back to the town.[b]

*That was why David's promise with Jonathan was important, and why it was even rare any royalty upheld their promises. The United States Presidents tend to be descended from royalty, so the standard also applies them, though usually they fail at it reading their lips about no new taxes.*

During the reign of David, there was a famine for three successive years; so David sought the face of the Lord. The Lord said, “It is on account of Saul and his blood-stained house; it is because he put the Gibeonites to death.”

2 The king summoned the Gibeonites and spoke to them. (Now the Gibeonites were not a part of Israel but were survivors of the Amorites; the Israelites had sworn to spare them, but Saul in his zeal for Israel and Judah had tried to annihilate them.) 3 David asked the Gibeonites, “What shall I do for you? How shall I make atonement so that you will bless the Lord’s inheritance?”

4 The Gibeonites answered him, “We have no right to demand silver or gold from Saul or his family, nor do we have the right to put anyone in Israel to death.”

“What do you want me to do for you?” David asked.

5 They answered the king, “As for the man who destroyed us and plotted against us so that we have been decimated and have no place anywhere in Israel, 6 let seven of his male descendants be given to us to be killed and their bodies exposed before the Lord at Gibeah of Saul–the Lord’s chosen one.”

So the king said, “I will give them to you.”

*Blood is only washed away by blood. Thus the blood of a god, Yeshua or Jesus of Nazareth, is superior than lambs or sacrifices of a human variety. Also people think a famine is like a diet, because of modern idiotic contextual absences*

Elisha Traps Blinded Arameans
8 Now the king of Aram was at war with Israel. After conferring with his officers, he said, “I will set up my camp in such and such a place.”

17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

18 As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, “Strike this army with blindness.” So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.

20 After they entered the city, Elisha said, “Lord, open the eyes of these men so they can see.” Then the Lord opened their eyes and they looked, and there they were, inside Samaria.

21 When the king of Israel saw them, he asked Elisha, “Shall I kill them, my father? Shall I kill them?”

22 “Do not kill them,” he answered. “Would you kill those you have captured with your own sword or bow? Set food and water before them so that they may eat and drink and then go back to their master.” 23 So he prepared a great feast for them, and after they had finished eating and drinking, he sent them away, and they returned to their master. So the bands from Aram stopped raiding Israel’s territory.

Famine in Besieged Samaria
24 Some time later, Ben-Hadad king of Aram mobilized his entire army and marched up and laid siege to Samaria. 25 There was a great famine in the city; the siege lasted so long that a donkey’s head sold for eighty shekels[a] of silver, and a quarter of a cab[b] of seed pods[c] for five shekels.[d]

26 As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, “Help me, my lord the king!”

27 The king replied, “If the Lord does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?” 28 Then he asked her, “What’s the matter?”

She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him today, and tomorrow we’ll eat my son.’ 29 So we cooked my son and ate him. The next day I said to her, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him,’ but she had hidden him.”

30 When the king heard the woman’s words, he tore his robes. As he went along the wall, the people looked, and they saw that, under his robes, he had sackcloth on his body.

Also, priests and prophets of a powerful god can call fire, water, and everything else apparently in a D and D spell book, down upon human mortals.
See, Bond knows how this game is played on a theological plane.

But you intentionally didn't put in the context even though it wouldn't have taken up much space.

Then David fled from Naioth at Ramah and went to Jonathan and asked, “What have I done? What is my crime? How have I wronged your father, that he is trying to kill me?”

2 “Never!” Jonathan replied. “You are not going to die! Look, my father doesn’t do anything, great or small, without letting me know. Why would he hide this from me? It isn’t so!”

3 But David took an oath and said, “Your father knows very well that I have found favor in your eyes, and he has said to himself, ‘Jonathan must not know this or he will be grieved.’ Yet as surely as the Lord lives and as you live, there is only a step between me and death.”

4 Jonathan said to David, “Whatever you want me to do, I’ll do for you.”

5 So David said, “Look, tomorrow is the New Moon feast, and I am supposed to dine with the king; but let me go and hide in the field until the evening of the day after tomorrow. 6 If your father misses me at all, tell him, ‘David earnestly asked my permission to hurry to Bethlehem, his hometown, because an annual sacrifice is being made there for his whole clan.’ 7 If he says, ‘Very well,’ then your servant is safe. But if he loses his temper, you can be sure that he is determined to harm me. 8 As for you, show kindness to your servant, for you have brought him into a covenant with you before the Lord. If I am guilty, then kill me yourself! Why hand me over to your father?”

9 “Never!” Jonathan said. “If I had the least inkling that my father was determined to harm you, wouldn’t I tell you?”

10 David asked, “Who will tell me if your father answers you harshly?”

11 “Come,” Jonathan said, “let’s go out into the field.” So they went there together.

12 Then Jonathan said to David, “I swear by the Lord, the God of Israel, that I will surely sound out my father by this time the day after tomorrow! If he is favorably disposed toward you, will I not send you word and let you know? 13 But if my father intends to harm you, may the Lord deal with Jonathan, be it ever so severely, if I do not let you know and send you away in peace. May the Lord be with you as he has been with my father. 14 But show me unfailing kindness like the Lord’s kindness as long as I live, so that I may not be killed, 15 and do not ever cut off your kindness from my family–not even when the Lord has cut off every one of David’s enemies from the face of the earth.”

16 So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, “May the Lord call David’s enemies to account.” 17 And Jonathan had David reaffirm his oath out of love for him, because he loved him as he loved himself.

18 Then Jonathan said to David, “Tomorrow is the New Moon feast. You will be missed, because your seat will be empty. 19 The day after tomorrow, toward evening, go to the place where you hid when this trouble began, and wait by the stone Ezel. 20 I will shoot three arrows to the side of it, as though I were shooting at a target. 21 Then I will send a boy and say, ‘Go, find the arrows.’ If I say to him, ‘Look, the arrows are on this side of you; bring them here,’ then come, because, as surely as the Lord lives, you are safe; there is no danger. 22 But if I say to the boy, ‘Look, the arrows are beyond you,’ then you must go, because the Lord has sent you away. 23 And about the matter you and I discussed–remember, the Lord is witness between you and me forever.”...

24 [a]After Saul returned from pursuing the Philistines, he was told, “David is in the Desert of En Gedi.” 2 So Saul took three thousand able young men from all Israel and set out to look for David and his men near the Crags of the Wild Goats.

3 He came to the sheep pens along the way; a cave was there, and Saul went in to relieve himself. David and his men were far back in the cave. 4 The men said, “This is the day the Lord spoke of when he said[b] to you, ‘I will give your enemy into your hands for you to deal with as you wish.’” Then David crept up unnoticed and cut off a corner of Saul’s robe.

5 Afterward, David was conscience-stricken for having cut off a corner of his robe. 6 He said to his men, “The Lord forbid that I should do such a thing to my master, the Lord’s anointed, or lay my hand on him; for he is the anointed of the Lord.” 7 With these words David sharply rebuked his men and did not allow them to attack Saul. And Saul left the cave and went his way.

8 Then David went out of the cave and called out to Saul, “My lord the king!” When Saul looked behind him, David bowed down and prostrated himself with his face to the ground. 9 He said to Saul, “Why do you listen when men say, ‘David is bent on harming you’? 10 This day you have seen with your own eyes how the Lord delivered you into my hands in the cave. Some urged me to kill you, but I spared you; I said, ‘I will not lay my hand on my lord, because he is the Lord’s anointed.’ 11 See, my father, look at this piece of your robe in my hand! I cut off the corner of your robe but did not kill you. See that there is nothing in my hand to indicate that I am guilty of wrongdoing or rebellion. I have not wronged you, but you are hunting me down to take my life. 12 May the Lord judge between you and me. And may the Lord avenge the wrongs you have done to me, but my hand will not touch you. 13 As the old saying goes, ‘From evildoers come evil deeds,’ so my hand will not touch you.

14 “Against whom has the king of Israel come out? Who are you pursuing? A dead dog? A flea? 15 May the Lord be our judge and decide between us. May he consider my cause and uphold it; may he vindicate me by delivering me from your hand.”

16 When David finished saying this, Saul asked, “Is that your voice, David my son?” And he wept aloud. 17 “You are more righteous than I,” he said. “You have treated me well, but I have treated you badly. 18 You have just now told me about the good you did to me; the Lord delivered me into your hands, but you did not kill me. 19 When a man finds his enemy, does he let him get away unharmed? May the Lord reward you well for the way you treated me today. 20 I know that you will surely be king and that the kingdom of Israel will be established in your hands. 21 Now swear to me by the Lord that you will not kill off my descendants or wipe out my name from my father’s family.”

22 So David gave his oath to Saul. Then Saul returned home, but David and his men went up to the stronghold.

*David’s fight against Goliath is pretty popular, but there were lots of other shenanigans going on behind the scenes after and before*

A terrible storm came into a town and local officials sent out an emergency warning that the riverbanks would soon overflow and flood the nearby homes. They ordered everyone in the town to evacuate immediately.

A faithful Christian man heard the warning and decided to stay, saying to himself, “I will trust God and if I am in danger, then God will send a divine miracle to save me.”

The neighbors came by his house and said to him, “We’re leaving and there is room for you in our car, please come with us!” But the man declined. “I have faith that God will save me.”

As the man stood on his porch watching the water rise up the steps, a man in a canoe paddled by and called to him, “Hurry and come into my canoe, the waters are rising quickly!” But the man again said, “No thanks, God will save me.”

The floodwaters rose higher pouring water into his living room and the man had to retreat to the second floor. A police motorboat came by and saw him at the window. “We will come up and rescue you!” they shouted. But the man refused, waving them off saying, “Use your time to save someone else! I have faith that God will save me!”

The flood waters rose higher and higher and the man had to climb up to his rooftop.

A helicopter spotted him and dropped a rope ladder. A rescue officer came down the ladder and pleaded with the man, "Grab my hand and I will pull you up!" But the man STILL refused, folding his arms tightly to his body. “No thank you! God will save me!”

Shortly after, the house broke up and the floodwaters swept the man away and he drowned.

When in Heaven, the man stood before God and asked, “I put all of my faith in You. Why didn’t You come and save me?”

And God said, “Son, I sent you a warning. I sent you a car. I sent you a canoe. I sent you a motorboat. I sent you a helicopter. What more were you looking for?”

this is a human frailty
even the bible covers it...

and we suffer for not knowing the wisdom cause we decide no wisdom can come from any unlikely place. why else give your life to a better gruber? better obama? better stalin?
why do you think academia and its crazy wacko stuff dominates now when before it didnt? because we accept that these are our better when the prior americans were equal before law, and free to be different so these were no better. in fact, they were OFTEN thought of as worse

who did the shoa? ernst rudin, a man with humoungous acadmic credentials.. sanger? the despots and kids? the revolutionaries in most countries were the expendible students. no?

Parable of the Mustard Seed
He set another man before them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field; which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches."
– Matthew 13:31—32

its not about small beginings (or its about more than that basic idea).

its the idea that power, real power, does not have to have the trappings, the robes of pharasees, the outward games of democratic hiippocrates who want to be rewarded for stealing to give to others.

its ALL there..

but its the question..
if god sent his son, why not in all his grandeur without any way to mistake who he is? why send him from small beginings? why not make him the child of pharoh, who upon taking office, changes the world? why make him the low? why not use nero?

because all that you talk about is fakery, like marble columns. to come to talk to the powers that have taken up office is not to be heard, and to give them control of your lives and the message.

ALL our heroes of the best saving graces are unlikely

only at disney, harvard, yale, slums, backward thinking peoples are heroes what we want them to be.

just think of how they treat high iq? they want the stuff, but dont want to pay for it, and will punish the producer if he isnt steve jobs but more withdrawn? why? because we WANT the hero in his blond hair, blue eyes, riding the horse (Even foreigners pick this type in studies)... saving things without having to bother us much.. and so much fun to watch.

but is that the truth?

because that is siding with the devil cause he is the most beautful of angels. right? after all the devil can quote scripture too when it suits him, no?

the hero of the civil war? a drunkard who became president... William Tecuhmsah Sherman

the president who took up the civil war and was most erudite, tall, think, ugly, wore a stove pipe hat, played horrid jokes.. including holding his brother upside down to put footprints on the ceilling... A Lincoln

the most decorated man of WWI was a conceintious objector and bible man. taking 35 machine guns, killing at least 25 enemy soldiers, and capturing 132, mostly by himself with some help. Alvin Cullum York

at the age of 19 for single-handedly holding off an entire company of German soldiers for an hour at the Colmar Pocket in France in January 1945, then leading a successful counterattack while wounded and out of ammunition. - each armed forces turned him down, he was TOO SMALL... his name? Audie Murphy the most decorated soldier of WWII

he was on a ship, a lad.. A naval career began as a midshipman at 9 years old December 17, 1810. Serving for 60 years. when the War of 1812 came along, he was ready. by now its four years later at the age of 12 he had the rank of prize master - a ship captured by the Essex had to be brought to port, who better than a 12 year old boy? This was his first officers commission, and he ended up wounded after that. promoted to lieutenant in 1822, 1824, he was placed in command of USS Ferret, which was his first command of a U.S. naval vessel [want to do the math?] he became Americas Greatest Admiral of the Navy...

Not liked by his contemporaries.. brusk, from a mother who of her period, wanted a son who would be famous, much like the marx brothers and others who had such dominating mothers.. having a lateral lisp didnt help, did it? being a short fat troll didnt help either... and a stutter, describing it in terms such as "severe" or "agonising". he was an autodidact.. but he saved the UK from invasion, inspired the world to rise, and changed the future forever - Winston Churchill

he was born, and his mom abandoned him. hard growing up with the name Leslie.. his new dad adopted him and gave him his new name.. as Republican congressman from Michigan, he married Elizabeth Anne Bloomer - and never anyone else.. he achieved office, unlikely, and one of C Mansons family nearly assasinated him - Gerald Ford and Betty his wife

a man comes from europe, broke.. becomes a barber.. leaves to make fortune in gold rush, but doesnt realy. comes back working hard as a conceierge, and saves up. the flu comes, and kills him, but the 30,000 is left to his wife. she builds some properties and gets her son to do things, and to avoid banks not selling to the poor, self finances the loans. the son grows up and has made a small fortune about 2 milloin... he dies, and his son, grows up, takes over the business. parlays that into more than a billion dollars and rises to be president of the US

-=-=-=-=-=-=-

the point here is that the world is not a movie, this is not central casting and the real people that do things dont act like TV and TV dont work in the real world... there is no before the show, or after the show to be worried about and all principals can be suspended at whim

but it does make us think that ugly people cant sing any more (neither can pretty people, but we dont care, twerk it baby).. so its amazing to see that we got to hear roy orbison, or Susan Boyle as she has aspergers.

or Temple Grandin, also aspergers...

study history..
ever compare what actors look like to the person they play from history

christopher columbus, italian, in the hands of isabella..
how nice, isabella has black hair, so does columbus
(so much for taming of the shrew and the blonde sister)
but chris had RED hair, as did isabella.
[as did most of the royal family]
and alexander the great? red hair. never casted that way

because we see men TODAY thanks to media as having female qualities and red haired women being more like men. but knowing history, how many of the US revolutionaries had red hair? how many from russia? the twentieth centuries death toll were red heads fighting each other.. (just as easy to blame them as to blame the classics).

the point is that all this reforms our view of the world and what should be rather than what IS.. yes the moon should always be full.. when you blast a keypad, it should know whether you want the locked door open, or you want the door to lock permanently based on yourneeds.. etc

but in the real world, the moon is full one night.

Do not disparage your help.. unlikely though it may be. it would be follish to send an ugly doctor a way, cause you want dr kildare to save you!!

one last post today to lllustrate the issue of things being not what you want them to be, and how you miss them
