Right on. I’ve been advocating just that for some time now. Make preaching death to infidels a crime punishable by death. Also pointing out to the followers that the imams and their families never perform martyrdom operations. The Wahhabi/Salafi ideology is anti-human and any rational person should get that.

These surveys never tell you how many of those surveyed are knowledgeable about the Quran or understand all the facets of sharia law. There are various forms of sharia law in different Muslim countries. The forms range from mildly barbaric (maintenance of a fully patriarchal society) to full barbarism (death to apostates, stoning deaths for various offenses, lopping of arms and legs as punishment, etc.). You have to remember there is a lot of illiteracy and ignorance in the Muslim world. Many don’t really know what sharia law is but have been told by imams it would be better than the tyrannical laws of the typical Muslim dictatorships. (The most obvious – Egypt, Qatar, UAE, Iran, Kazakhstan, Sudan, Syria, Uzbekistan) Part of the Anbar Awakening in Iraq was a rejection of the strict ideology and sharia law of the Wahhabis by the Sunni sheiks in Anbar Province.

The Muslim world was well on its way to reform until Qutb and al Banna, two influential Muslim writers, called for a revival of Wahhabism in the 1950s. Part of their argument was that the Muslim world had fallen on hard times because they had strayed from the true Islam – Wahhabism. That appealed to many Muslims who looked around themselves and saw poverty and no hope of improvement. The other argument was, especially by Qutb, that the West was, by Muslim standards, decadent and evil. That the West did not deserve to be wealthy and powerful. He argued that the Muslim world could regain its former glory by going back to “the old time religion.” Saudi oil money and the West’s ignorance of the implications of fundamentalist Islam has allowed it to spread quite rapidly in the last 66 years.

Islamic terrorism is easily dealt with, the means to do so are readily available. It is the Marxist Left’s narrative that underlies the West’s political correctness that obstructs implementing those means. Subverting the will to address the problem of Islam.

Making war upon 1.5 Billion Muslims is not required, nor is a police state.

You gain the leverage that is needed to deter an enemy by making the consequence intolerable for the enemy.

What was the mission of the high-level delegation that Saudi Arabia has sent the Economic Forum in St. Petersburg? Nobody knows for sure, but the announcement of a major contract between the two countries seems to show that a new era begins.
