A fellow student, the son of a teacher, had been in the Army. His time in the Army had given him a perspective that didn’t always agree with the PC line of the day then current in the education field. The sputtering reaction from many of his fellow students was often along the line of “How could you say such an outrageous thing?” He just smiled.

He is now completing two decades of teaching, most of it at difficult schools.
