Apparently, the Arab and North African conquerors and what they did was more “authentic” to the Spanish Identity, than the Visigothic Christianity that predated it, and also more “authentic” than the 700 year struggle of the Reconquista (by Spanish warriors) against Moslem Rule.

Do they know yet if he continued to be simpatico with Farook, or if he drifted of and was surprised when Mr. and Mrs. F did their little escapade? I am curious as to whether it was cold feet or whether he got “unradicalized” and assumed they did, too. But I haven’t read anything one way or the other. It’s important for us to figure out whether making radical plans they never intend to carry out is a “thing,” or whether people get enthusiastic about it for a short period of time, or whether once you’re planning this you’re always planning it.
