Given that he mentioned anti-Semitic indoctrination from a young age both in school and in his environment, I doubt an equally positive situation could occur in the opposite circumstance. Chances are his grandmother was given an ultimatum by her husband-to-be: convert to Islam or it’s over. It seems like she has carried this burden with much regret and I hope she is happy about her grandson. Seems like a really good guy.
