Let me try to restate what I have just said, in somewhat more systematic terms, and in response to your general characterization rather than your specific point regarding Officer Wilson.

Men in our society, who might seek to practice virtue, (and we all know what the root of the word is) are to a large extent caught in a double bind: damned or self-sacrificing to no purpose if they do, and partly damned if they do not.

So what is the object here? To preserve society as it dysfunctionally is? To right injustices for everyone?

How can you? “We” don’t share a sense of “justice” as a so-called people. There is no “we”. “We” don’t even have a coherent theory of law anymore. Results oriented jurisprudence instead of matching case to law. Might as well have effen Brehon law or Talmudists in charge.

All that is left to us as Americans to respond with in such a situation, is social warfare, war waged for social dominance; war waged either politically or overtly.

And I think that we can all agree that since the left first arrived on these shores, whenever that really was, it has always been the opinion and the aim of that certain part of our polity that it cannot otherwise be so.

Now, you can only act effectively in response, in whatever way you chose to respond, if there is little dissent in your own house. And our houses, both political and personal are filled with moral dissent and hedonic nihilism.

You cannot go, or at least I cannot go, to a social gathering without encountering people in the course of an evening who while claiming some social relationship with me, nonetheless demonstrate in their speech and opinions and “lifestyle”, that they are deeply anti-virtue; anti-man.

They are not brutal or physically obnoxious, but it is plain that what they seek above all else is a kind of non-judgemental, floating nuzzling nirvana, where in exchange for adopting the mores of the current “social consensus”, whatever those mores might be, society will follow around after and clean up: until it won’t any more, and jerks their chain instead. And as they slouch languidly in their chairs, looking for the next distraction, that is just fine with them, since life is a burden anyway.

And these are the people, the “man” is expected to carry around on his back while doing right? The multitude of submissive subversives in his own crowd? To maintain them, to sustain them, to rescue and protect? Why not just stab yourself in the neck with a knife, and have done with it?

Officer Wilson might deserve to be saved, but these others don’t.

Mom and Teacher say, “Be nice … consider feelings … be gentle … share … everyone is special … don’t hit back … we need to feel what they feel … reason is harsh, selfish and patriarchal” And our professors say: “Nothing is real”. And pop culture says: “Whatever gets you through the night”.

Yeah, sure.

No, it needs to get worse, before it gets better, or before “society” needs men again.

I just hope that if it ever gets to that point, the men who step forward are both reasonable men and men who know who to save and who to let go: no matter how much the eunuchs and simpering sybarites and flagellants of the left scream and wring their hands over the “injustice” of it all.

The Reds won’t give up their LYNCHING party. That’s what all this is, a lynching.

We are damn short of “men” because there is little social upside to it.

What’s the point in defending the weak from violence when they seek to undermine their defenders?

Let it collapse. A social realignment will follow – of one kind or another. Chances are it will be better than maintaining a house for the sake of the termites.

The erratic behavior described by the witness could be explained by the recent trauma of both the strikes, and the also recent trauma of being forced to kill a giant aggressive bear of a man attacking him.

the “lack” of trauma on his face is easily explained, that the video is of low quality and almost immediately after the altercation.

But the video they embedded is gonna be used to “prove” that he wasn’t jacked up, and M. Simon at Classical Values seems to be leaning in that direction.
