It would also be very awkward for the feds to show up in force to confront US citizens on the border, wouldn’t it? It would highlight the fact that the only reason they don’t show up in force to confront illegal aliens on the border is because they don’t want to.

Which is why I kind of want them to be stupid enough to do it.

As kit says, “[The government] are not [securing the border] and so citizens are forming minute man militias to peacefully block these illegals from swarming into our communities.”

A problem arises: what if the illegals won’t back down in the face of peaceful resistance? What if they either A) don’t believe force will be used, and just bum-rush the citizens or B) they are being driven from the rear by armed cartel members?

What happens if the peaceful citizens are set upon by the government, forcing them to disband, “or else?”

In any of these three cases (IMO, the first two more plausible), what are the peaceful citizens supposed to do then?
I think in those cases, use of force to defend the U.S. from illegality (no matter from whence it arises) is justified.
