It occurs to me that she would have done herself some good by asking for some advice from the folks who sold her the cannabis candy. A little common sense would go a long way, if you’re used to drinking .32 beer and you jump over to whiskey, and you’ve never had it before, it might be an unwelcomed experience.

The cannabis that is available today is different only in that it’s good quality whereas the stuff of days gone by was mostly crap with stems and seeds mixed in. The good stuff was out there, it was just harder to find. Strains like Acapulco Gold, Panama Red, Maui Wowie and Thai Stick, etc. were around but they were more expensive. The quality improved as the borders were tightened up and growing became more prevalent here inside the US.

Cannabis in edible form is more potent for more than just the THC content. Your liver changes the THC to a stronger, longer lasting compound. This is why it’s not the best thing for the inexperienced to start with. If you’re not familiar with the experience, it can be unsettling but it will wear off…

Oh there’s so much horsecrap in that article it makes me think she’s making most of it up. I mean really.

And then we get to the variation of the LSD jumping out of windows story.

Nobody should take what this lying harridan says about anything as something that approaches the truth.

She’s just another bitter bummer.

People who are trained in lethal force, have problems with mind altering drugs or stimulants.

For one thing, if they lose control while under the influence, everyone around them may die because they are perceived as “targets” or “demons”.

So it’s not drug legalization that’s dangerous. It’s corporations and the government selling marijuana for profit in various cookies and drinks, that nobody seems to know about, that’s dangerous.

Because it doesn’t take a few to make a Santa Rog killer. That’s an untrained wannabe weakling that took years to build up his resolve and determination. The only thing, literally the only thing, keeping socialized killers or people who have access to lethal force under control, is their own will.

I have heard that smoking the medical stuff is just as bad. Had a friend go on a… rather longish, very heavy, trip. Was just curious and took just a bit, a few… “hits”, is it? Oh, I larfed, I did. Kittens and some yarn just don’t mix. But fun to watch. Won’t do it again, evah… or so I am told.

So I laughed when I read that article. Sent it on to So-and-Whositz while I was at it. Giggles all around.

Not even curious. If I go all in, it’ll be a triple shot of that stuff… gimme a bourbon, a scotch, and a beer, and keep em’ rolling. All I’m saying.

Nick, you’re partially right. If they notice their tax rates rising, they’re going to be too stoned to care. Dude.
One would think the car insurance rates will go up in that state too- having driven there quite a few times to ski, there are quite a lot of roads that require a little bit of concentration to navigate in the winter. Driving around all candied up, or whatever Dowd was, might present some safety issues for the residents.
