They also did one on how the citizens of Charleston, just prior to firing on Ft. Sumter, tried to suborn the federal troops--the enlisted men--by throwing them parties.  The True article probably ramped up the wildness, or maybe not.
So, forty years later, I read it in Catton.
Wonder how much I missed not reading that mag consistently.]]></description>
