More and more I've been thinking that, if it's not possible to bypass those media sources (AP and Reuters), it's best to rewrite their stuff with non-PC terminology.

I hope there's a way of making sure they don't use copyright law against rewriters, but other than that, I'd go full ahead with the project, call it ReWreuters or something like that. I've already done some rewriting of the items on Israel from Reuters that come with the name of an Arab stringer at the end. (The most unbiased people for the job. /sarc)

Wilson,

I often get so tired of this terminological horseplay that I write "Muslims" just like that, with no qualifier. It's as politically incorrect as can be, but these days there are so many times I feel I just couldn't care less.

When I was working on a project in Pakistan (Balochistan) a few years back, there were travel posters on the clients office walls showing Jeep tours of the Karakoram Highway. I was told that as late as the 1990's it was secure for tourists to take these adventure trips. The local tribes, many of which still practiced their traditional religions (often offshoots of Zarathustrianism) were friendly and made some income from the tourists.

It seems that it all is spiraling downward in the extended Islamic world.
