Suzanna Hupp gave 5 minutes of some of the best Congressional testimony I've ever seen. She had me laughing, b/c she was completely brazen, unintimidated, unapologetic - and that included giving no favors to James Brady. And she had Dems on the Committee grumbling amongst themselves. At the very end, she points out - to the faces of Committee members - that the Second Amendment is about protecting citizens from the members of the Committee.

Also, I noticed a difference between the way a victim who is a conservative portrays herself ... vs. the way a victim (or pretend victim) who is a leftist portrays himself.

Neo-

I wasn't really surprised by the threat of more executive orders; it was Drudge's courage in posting those two photos over that link to the Weekly Standard story that I found to be remarkable. Guess Matt'll be one of the first ones to be frog-marched out in the middle of the night.

And I'm afraid that that quote from Uncle Joe may prove to be all too apt.

Also note those stories linked on Drudge today about the run of guns down here in Dixie. We're totally sold out for now (guns and ammo) with no new inventory being available at the distributorship level. I've never seen that happen before, has anyone else?

God help the USA.

carl in atlanta: "executive orders" on guns? That should come as no surprise. That's the way around the legislative process, and if Obama can get away with it he will. That has been clear for a long, long time, and I've been expecting much more of it in his second term.

I remember writing (although I can't seem to find the post) a year or two into Obama's first term that the prospect of his getting a second one was very frightening, since he would no longer be tethered to the idea of appealing to the public because he had to be mindful of re-election. He would essentially be unchecked. Who's going to stop him if he wants to do something by executive order? Congress? When the Senate is in Democratic hands? The Supreme Court? Don't make me laugh.

Suzanna Hupp is an incredibly effective public speaker.

Her story still sends chills up my spine.

Speaking of guns, I hope everyone here has seen Drudge's current headline ( i.e., as of 1:38PM today):
