Well, I voted! It's raining, I got there early - stood in line for ten minutes before voting began - and was out of there by 7:35. A busy election day!

Hoping "The One" gets bounced in historic numbers. Praying for that, too!

Have a great day!

I offer, one time only and at reduced cost, a bridge of your choosing across Big Muddy from Minnesota to Louisiana, for $100,000 plus tax. Decided quickly because the tax rate will increase dramatically come 1/1/13.

Not that I'm saying anything that everyone here hasn't already figured out, but what a total crock of horse***t. He knew he couldn't run on his record that sucked, so his strategy all along has been to energize his left-wing base while trying to demonize Romney. That's why the first debate was the turning point, because it wiped out the "demonize Romney" part of the equation. And in trying to turn out his left-wing base he has probably been at least as successful in energizing the Republican right-wing base which started out skeptical of Romney but is now willing to crawl over "ground glass" (as Glenn Reynolds says) to kick Obama's butt out of the White House.

The Republicans made Obama nasty?! Michelle has grace . . always with a kind smile and an encouraging word?! - OMG, you all have me in stitches!

“It’s really hard to get into the mode of, ‘Well, I have to talk to these guys in Medina, Ohio. For 3½ years, nobody tells the president, ‘You f–ed up,’ and all of a sudden people are telling him what to do. … So, I think Obama wants to be there, wants to be president, but he doesn’t necessarily want to do all the things he had to do to be there,” said Richard Ben Cramer, author of “What It Takes,” a landmark chronicle of the trials of the 1988 presidential candidates.

I really, truly, deeply hope that after tomorrow Obama won't have to listen to any more of the annoying plebians who are so unworthy of his attention, nor will he have to work so darned hard and risk getting any more scars trying to implement the change he's struggled to achieve for the past four years. After tomorrow, I sincerely hope he can just go shoot some hoops and plan his January 2013 move to Hawaii.

After reading this post Neo, I realize that Obama's greatest asset is the grace and beauty his wife consistently displays and brings along side our fine leader. Mrs. Obama has done so much for women in America seeking to further express their femininity with grace and style. Always a kind smile and an encouraging word - certainly our dear leader can expect to receive an appropriate reward because of her shining example. A happy home is a productive home!

Gringo, while that is one of many references, i would beg to differ and put forth this instead.

But in calling Moriarty a criminal you are uttering libel in the eyes of the law – and there lie the glory and the wonder of it! The greatest schemer of all time, the organizer of every deviltry, the controlling brain of the underworld, a brain which might have made or marred the destiny of nations – that’s the man! But so aloof is he from general suspicion, so immune from criticism, so admirable in his management and self-effacement, that for those very words that you have uttered he could hale you to a court and emerge with your year’s pension as a solatium for his wounded character. Is he not the celebrated author of The Dynamics of an Asteroid, a book which ascends to such rarefied heights of pure mathematics that it is said that there was no man in the scientific press capable of criticizing it? Is this a man to traduce? Foulmouthed doctor and slandered professor – such would be your respective roles! That’s genius, Watson.
    –Holmes, The Valley of Fear

See? the parallels are endless, paranoia, a 6% solution in there somewhere, arch nemesis of the right having this huge invisible machination machine that no one can see but they refer to.

its like listening to various characters from literature being pulled out of a pocket to fit a theatrical situation that then leads to a salient goal.

After the election, will he become Ahab?

which literary character is next?
