I am still outraged at Nancy Pelosi’s presumption that I should feel empowered by her election as speaker.

Good point, expat. I semi-understand blacks being proud that a black man was elected President, but part of me wants to ask, “Why? You didn’t get elected to anything,” because that would be my reaction to someone of my ethnicity being elected. (I know, not the same thing, but not totally different, either.)

Whenever someone speaks of “empowerment,” I always think of a former colleague in industry. We were forced to sit through “training” on how to run our departments in a PC fashion when “empowerment” was in its first malignant flower. After the umpteenth reference to “empowerment,” my colleaguew shook off the smoked herring expression on his face and said, to no one in particular, “Power isn’t granted. It is seized.”

Dead silence ensued. But he was right.

Sorry for the intemperate tenor of my remarks. A tough week, and the title of the book pinged the double standard sore point. Much like an “imagine if Bush had done this,” imagine the reaction to a book asserting that men in the Obama Administration feel that they’re not paid sufficient deference. Word count of the response: two.

Am I remembering correctly that Anita Dunn is the woman who said Mao was one of her heroes? And the one who used to do that funny thing with her mouth? The one who dreamed up that first “report unfair attacks on Obama” page on the WH site? Was highly critical of Fox News?

I would have ignored her also.

You would have loved seeing me in Paris last year. In the food dept at Galerie Layfayette, a guy tried to get my wallet from my purse. I hit him repeatedly with the wire food basket and loudly called him every name in the book. I am generally a rather nice wimp, but I do have limits. And GF had its show for the day.

The dangerous follies of the Obama administration have nothing to do with the genitalia of his sycophants. BHO has no knowledge about anything in the real world and has naturally surrounded himself with a legion of advisors and czars, genitalia neutral, who know less than nothing. Its all dogma and leftover vomit from the Wilson administration with a veneer of FDR and a frosting of LBJ brushed on top.

The trouble is that sometimes feelings are meant to be kept private rather than aired or used as an excuse for something or as a cudgel to beat someone over the head with.
