Life is competitive. To suggest competitiveness and the striving for success is unnatural is to grossly misunderstand the natural world.

I call this "Lion King" syndrome. In Disney movies the lions put their paws around the gazelles and they all sing the closing title tune together. They're all just good buddies, really.

In reality, lions kill their prey - the old, young, weak, and the sick individuals - by either clamping on their throats, choking off their windpipes, or ripping out their victims' underbellies so that their entrails come out.

Kinda hard to set that to a catchy closing tune.

""The simple fact that this threat is just a figment of atheist imagination does not change a bit in this evaluation.""
Sergey

Atheist are a big chunk but plenty of religious folk have been sucked in too. What they seem to have in common is a rather masochistic view of themselves and mankind in general as an unnatural outsider in the natural world. Probably arrived at by the narrative being relentlessly pushed that all success by individual lives or even the species as a whole is more properly viewed as the story of injustice done to the less successful

But what they don't seem to grasp, is every lifeform that exist on the planet got here by inflicting this same injustice. if all life were held to the same ridiculous standards.

It's actually true - Global Warming is leading to increased mental illness.

If you doubt this just take a look at any of Al Gore's recent video interviews or speeches - both him and the little enclaves of people he talks to are cutting themselves off from unsettling facts and getting more and more desperate.

Watch this evolve into a health scare issue similar to the bogus connection of childhood vaccines to autism. Scaring young mothers might be the next best tactic those people have. Of course Al Gore is trying to equate publicly expressed AGW "denial" to racist comments of the pre-enlightened 60's era in the hopes that will suppress dissension.
There's a lot of ideology riding on this...

The proponents of 'climate change' become ever more absurd and desperate as it becomes ever more evident their pet theory can not possibly predict either short or long term fluctuations in climate. Its as if they believe climate and life on earth in general were in a steady state until the internal combustion engine came into use.

So it a matter of speaking they are correct; belief in man made climate change is a mental disease.

isnt this the same side that decided conservatism was a mental desease by some very eroneous arguments by a frankfurt school idiot? and isnt this the side where normans went and invented the whole "making it real" violence thing? isnt this the side that has nearly single handedly brought starvation to the table again? (socialism and starvation go hand in hand like white on rice)
