I expected, then, to hear that it is the Republicans who have done that. Senator Kerry did not let me down. However, the hostage charge is once removed as Senator Rubio noted. No one wants to make the government default, but there are substantial amounts of people who do want to decrease the federal government and increase the American economy. These people have no problem holding the Democrats hostage.
