regarding metastatic prostate cancer, there is a medical truism that such patients die of other causes and with metastatic prostate cancer- they do not die directly because of prostate cancer. It struck me oddly when they released him forthat reason, so it is no surprise that he is still alive.

Professor Sikora, the dean of medicine at Buckingham University and medical director of CancerPartnersUK in London, was paid for his medical assessment of Megrahi at Greenock prison on July last year.

He told the newspaper: “There was always a chance he could live for 10 years, 20 years … But it’s very unusual.

“It was clear that three months was what they were aiming for. Three months was the critical point.

“On the balance of probabilities, I felt I could sort of justify [that].”

On balance of probabliities, I feel I can sort of justify revoking Dr. Sikora’s medical license and confiscating whatever he received (on and under the table) for his “expert opinion”.

The presumption of innocence holds before conviction. After conviction, especially for an atrocity, the burden of proof should be on the prisoner seeking release.

Although Megrabi’s release is a valid reason for cooling our relationship with the UK, I doubt it’s what Obama is thinking of. (One of the first things he did in office was to return a bust of Churchill.)
