The power the elite have through their ideas is not real, its an illusion granted by being used for your poor ideas and your ideas that facilitate ends...

which is why, once ends are obtained, the elite are no longer needed, and why each of the socialist countries went and removed them. once the real power no longer listened to them, the people no longer listened to them, and so they have no place.

eventually all your left with is
politicos, and slaves...

and a boot on the neck forever
[as supplies for unrest and revolutions to change such conditions come from outside, and if they have all, there is no more outside]

I should note that in the old order family as people was orthagonal to the rest and insulated from it.

but in the socialist revolution, that arm was drawn in and so the whole of the family became part of the political property to use and tap for money (denying that branch of the system its pool of personal economy)

since our ancestors in prior educational history knew economics better, their arguments are quite vociferous and shocking to us if we read them today, for they knew no matter how you decorated a pile of crap, it was always going to be a pile a crap. something we have learned to feel superior over not realizing any more.

and i forgot to add the last part

THE communist revolution which proceeds from the socialist revolution as it is in actuality

Politicos —> People/serfs/slaves/etc —> scapegoats to vent on (Elite)

Remeber Milton, the Devil himself never ate of the fruit that he delivered to us.

I would add to the quote above words from another milton:

You sharpen the human appetite to the point where it can split atoms with its desire; you build egos the size of cathedrals; fiber-optically connect the world to every eager impulse; grease even the dullest dreams with these dollar-green, gold-plated fantasies, until every human becomes an aspiring emperor, becomes his own God... and where can you go from there?

[down]

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

No matter how good you are don't ever let them see you coming. That's the gaffe my friend. You gotta keep yourself small. Innocuous. Be the little guy. You know, the nerd... the leper... shit-kickin' surfer. Look at me.

and the last quote is about god, but to statists the state is their unadmitted god.

so when milton describes god, its more a description that fits man as god not actually god for at its heart its complaining that it cant have wants as big as a universe and just fufill them no matter what they be. that with a self limit the condition described becomes untrue.

or the way it was described in freakonomic II as to capuchin monkeys. they are tiny little balls of unending want. feed them marshmallows, they will eat till they are sick, throw up, then come back for more. they are only focused on two things, food and sex... compared to what civil societies once were, we have been moved closer to capuchin than human. russia has a low birth, poor med, low life expectancy, alcoholism huge (food), and abortions constant (sex)...

when combined with the excellent quote john put up, and NOT assumed to be god of the bible, things get a bit more interesting.

and for one major reason.

if this is your view of god, what would your idea of utopia/heaven be?

remember the character talking made a utopia more to the satisfactoin of one that thinks that way.

so if people think that way, and they are building utopia, what are they building?

John Milton: Let me give you a little inside information about God. God likes to watch. He's a prankster. Think about it. He gives man instincts. He gives you this extraordinary gift, and then what does He do, I swear for His own amusement, his own private, cosmic gag reel, He sets the rules in opposition. It's the goof of all time. Look but don't touch. Touch, but don't taste. Taste, don't swallow. Ahaha. And while you're jumpin' from one foot to the next, what is he doing? He's laughin' His sick, fuckin' ass off. He's a tight-ass. He's a sadist. He's an absentee landlord. Worship that? Never.

Pondering how to respond to this post I wrote several drafts, all of which were for various reasons I rejected as incomplete. Finally I remembered this section from C.S. Lewis’s book “The Abolition of Man”:

“And all the time–such is the tragi-comedy of our situation–we continue to clamor for those very qualities we are rendering impossible. You can hardly open a periodical without coming across the statement that what our civilization needs is more 'drive', or dynamism, or self-sacrifice, or 'creativity'. In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.”

We are, I believe, in for a rough ride in the not so far future. We are being lead by "men (and women) without chests".
