The Paine reference for glossy first layer few will penetrate and the reference to subverted and turned former U.S. soldiers for the real meaning hidden away for in inner cadre. This interpretation lines up with the occult/Freemason practices of true meaning hidden behind the public one.

agreed. so many of them, who think they studied history, tended to ignore what happened to those that played their roll. that the other side does NOT see them as heroes of their side, but traitors. that one would do so for them is nice and they are very happy to have it, but that does not mean they are greatful and that the person or persons have earned a plae to stand there, that never happens as such traitors are, what is the word… Suki

We call this investigation the “Winter Soldier Investigation.” The term “Winter Soldier” is a play on words of Thomas Paine in 1776 when he spoke of the Sunshine Patriot and summertime soldiers who deserted at Valley Forge because the going was rough.

We who have come here to Washington have come here because we f eel we have to be winter soldiers now. We could come back to this country; we could be quiet; we could hold our silence; we could not tell what went on in Vietnam, but we feel because of what threatens this country, the fact that the crimes threaten it, not reds, and not redcoats but the crimes which we are committing that threaten it, that we have to speak out.

So it may be a coincidence. Or it’s possible it had a double meaning for the cognoscenti. I think, however, it really came from the Paine quote, as Kerry said.

Of course, it that’s the truth, it may have been one of the few times he told the truth :-).

however they picked winter soldier as opposite summer soldier… and give me liberty or give me death pain, talked about summer soldiers…
