I didn’t mind them… but my 1.2 GHz P III minded them… when they were on the page my system was using 100% cpu.

Luckily I only use that computer 1% of the time (when my girls are on the other systems)

Well, I for one am glad to see them go. In my opinion, they are a distraction and annoyance.

The quickest way to drive me away from a site is to have too many animations going on at once.

The scrolling did not bother me and I was intrigued by the recommendations, but oh well, if it bothered others, it should go. Maybe once in a while you could just do a recommendations post for us, Neo.

I thought it was pretty cool….but have to admit it was a bit distracting (especially for those with excellent peripheral vision!)

Still, really like the ability for neo to offer recommendations. So much of my thinking is in sync w/ hers that no doubt, I’d find many of her favorites enjoyable and thought provoking.

(If only we could figure out how to start a readers club w/ regular gang here on blog (needless to say all “newbies” welcome) & have online discussion & exchange of thoughts and ideas….That would prob. be most interesting……)
