That photo reminds me of when I was in the hospital in 1975, a newly-diagnosed 12-year-old diabetic, and they gave me a dietary lecture using rubber food (rubber ham + rubber bread + rubber lettuce = a nutritious, delicious lunch!) and a coloring book called “Mr. Hypo is Your Friend.” I am not kidding.
