Obama’s commitments were nuanced. He left himself some bargaining room. Hmmm that seems to make good political sense – good political “strategery”. A person might even extrapolate from that an ability to lead both domestically and internationally with forethought and intelligence rather than with knee jerk, emotional responses. McCain’s calculation was to box-in financially a political juggernaut in a Democratic cycle. McCain was out foxed and that shows Obama to be much more politically savvy than the Republicans expected. Interesting.

That is what politics is all about.

there are specific transcripts of numerous Obama declarations re: his pledge to use only public financing if Republican nominee does so; there are examples of speeches in which he proudly cites his “commitment” to campaign finance reform” which is why he will use the public funding option, etc.

The Right’s inability to raise grassroots election funds is not Obama’s problem. It’s your problem. Its a big one.

Obonga’s pap was grist for his own mill. There is no hope for people who willingly swill lies from the slop bucket.

One of the very important reasons why I left the Left back in 1987 is that I finally dealt with all the lies piled up by the Communists. For years I thought that perhaps the truth was somewhere between what they claimed about historical events and their socialist experiments, and what conservatives and dissidents over here were telling us. But, then I found out that the Communists were lying beyond what I believed possible. And I recalled the ethics of expediency I witnessed among many Leftists, activists and intellectuals. Lying is no big deal to them.

And that is one of the many commonalities that exist between Islam and Socialism. Taqiyya – Lying. Expedient ethics. Ruthless suppression of the truth.

The more I think about him taking the oath of office in January of 2009 the more I feel like retching.
